The benefits of these advancements are being applied to the treatment of various diseases.
For example, in a recent peer-reviewed study of Protandim, a dietary supplement, published in Molecular Aspects of Medicine, it was reported that Protandim activated Nrf2, the transcription factor which is a signal to the cell’s DNA to regulate a network of protective genes.
These are referred to as “survival genes” that encode antioxidant enzymes as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic proteins.
Many of the genes affected by Nrf2 activation are relevant to Alzheimer’s Disease, kidney failure, and multiple sclerosis.
In addition to the antiaging benefits generated by the intake of Protandim, there is evidence that if antioxidants are applied topically, as in Truscience Anti-Aging Cream, the Protandim related product, there are benefits that may help prevent free radical damage caused by exposure to pollution and other environmental factors, may help the skin appear younger by deactivating the oxidizing influence to which the skin is subjected.
Our skin is made up of three layers: the epidermis, the dermis, and the subcutaneous layer.
The epidermis is the part of your skin you can see.
The next layer is the dermis. The dermis contains nerve endings, blood vessels, oil glands, sweat glands, collagen and elastin.
The bottom layer of the skin is called the subcutaneous layer. It is comprised mostly of fat and helps your body stay warm and absorb shocks.
Not only is the skin the largest organ of the body, it is also the most visible. So regardless of your age, seeking ways to prevent wrinkles or reduce wrinkles is probably on your agenda.
In addition, we should take steps to slow aging to the extent we can.
Our bodies already contain the information for how to effectively combat stressful situations such as oxidative stress and chronic inflammation. That information is stored in our genes. The secret lies in being able to instruct cells regarding the implementation of that information, allowing you to keep your primary vehicle, your body, running well and able to withstand the “rusting”, or aging, and taking you where you want to go for many years to come.
As mentioned in a previous posts on this blog, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Medical Correspondent at CNN, has reported that “Practical Immortality may now be within our grasp.”
So now the question becomes, “how do we slow the rate of aging and avoid the frailty that would make longevity less desirable?”
With antioxidant supplements, we can slow our rate of aging; with a nutrition and fitness routine, we can avoid frailty and improve our health; and with an industry leading home business opportunity, we can make great money and generate financial wealth.
