In the past few years, numerous studies have shown that optimizing your Vitamin D levels may actually help prevent as many as 16 different types of cancer including pancreatic, lung, breast, ovarian, prostate and colon cancers.
The best way to optimize Vitamin D levels is through limited sunscreen-free exposure to the sun. Never let yourself burn, but getting 10-15 minutes of direct exposure to the sun should help safely boost your Vitamin D levels.
Absent available exposure to the sun during prolonged periods (such as winter), consider taking Vitamin D supplements. Vitamin D tablets / capsules can significantly boost your levels of this key nutrient. During winter or whenever you are not getting sun exposure, consider supplementing with up to 1,000 IU of Vitamin D daily.
It is okay to take some extra Vitamin D on top of what is included in a multivitamin but never try to boost your Vitamin D intake by consuming an additional multivitamin tablet. Some vitamins (such as A and E) and minerals contained in typical multivitamin formulas can be harmful in quantities above the recommended daily value.
Because there is a risk posed in taking vitamin supplements in excess, as shown by recent studies, some scare stories in the media have incorrectly implied that vitamin supplementation as such is dangerous. For most of us, the opposite is true. Not boosting vitamin intake, to compensate for the low nutritional value of most packaged and cooked foods, is dangerous.
So there you have it. Vitamins can improved your health and reduce your reliance on the medical establishment and its insanely expensive “treatment” model.
In addition, we should take steps to slow aging to the extent we can. Our bodies already contain the information for how to effectively combat stressful situations such as oxidative stress and chronic inflammation. That information is stored in our genes. The secret lies in being able to instruct cells regarding the implementation of that information, allowing you to keep your primary vehicle, your body, running well – able to withstand the “rusting” of aging and taking you where you want to go for many years to come.
As mentioned in a previous posts on this blog, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Medical Correspondent at CNN, has reported that “Practical Immortality may now be within our grasp.”
So now the question becomes, “how do we slow the rate of aging and avoid the frailty that would make longevity less desirable?”
With antioxidant supplements, we can slow our rate of aging; with a nutrition and fitness routine, we can avoid frailty and improve our health; and with an industry leading home business opportunity, we can make great money and generate financial wealth.
